A great friend of mine always says "life is an adventure". I try more and more each day to live that adventure. I have a master's degree in Family Psychology, but my greatest fulfillment now comes from screwing boards together in creative ways...

My life mirrors my childhood...as a child, I loved to build and create. My imagination was endless. My backyard fort was Disneyland. I loved taking care of my stuffed animal collection, and I spent many hours recording myself on my dad's fancy tape recorder. It was so cool, it had a microphone with a big orange foam protector. I recorded stories, songs, and whatever else came to mind. I still have the tapes under lock and key, ha.

Today, I build backyard forts and creative stage sets for telling stories. I take care of kids who find themselves in the upheaval of their lives, and I still record myself everyday on a microphone heard every day on our humble radio station in Wichita Falls.

Had I realized my childhood was my education, I could have saved some money, but I would have missed the Baylor and Hardin-Simmons adventures. Adventures I wouldn't trade for anything.

My hope is that in this day of negative, you find a place of creativity and positive encouragement.
